Learning outcome 4 (U3): Be able to carry out post production techniques and processes for an original media product to a client brief. Exported copy: When I had finished my front cover ad double page spread I exported it to a jpg which is a picture form allowing anyone to open it and have a look at it. I did this by going to the 'save as' button and saving a copy in JPEG format.  Front Cover -  Drop shadow:   When creating my front cover I was able to use a range of techniques to meet the client brief. I used  range of tools such as the 'drop shadow' tool to create a 3D look. This made the magazine stand out and more unique. This links to the client brief as it emphasises the North London focus, whilst also reflecting the vibrant music scene developing locally. I chose the colour red as it reflects the passion amongst the target audience for this type of genre (venues). As the magazine has a venue focus, it's important to entice my target aud...

Learning Outcome: Be able to carry out post-production techniques and processes for an original media product to a client brief Front cover: Double page spread:  Review of suitability with links to tools- Strengths (front cover): Drop shadow tool- When creating my front cover I was able to use a range of techniques to meet the client brief. I used  range of tools such as the 'drop shadow' tool to create a 3D look. This made the magazine stand out and more unique. This links to the target audience because I am making it creative and adding a modern spin making it more appealing to my target audience.  Skyline- To create the skyline I used a range of tools to create a glow looking rectangle. I duplicated the layer and put them over each other to create a 3D look. I used a colour overlay to make it fit in with the colour theme of t...

Create production materials (U3, P4, M3)

Learning Outcome 3 (U3): Be able to create production materials for an original product to a client brief Justification:  Out of 100 photos I took I managed to cut it down to 30. When deciding on the final photos I was looking for good quality. The photos that were blurry I got rid of straight away which helped me decide on my final photos. I then decided what pose would suit the magazine the best which led me to 4 photos. At this point I just had to pick the best two as they were all the same. I also referred back to the client and made it original, vibrant and in a North London location. I used a variety of tools when creating the magazine to make it original and unique. Thumbnails: Screenshots: Photos used for the final product: I chose this image because it is good quality, bright, and  clear and fits well in the space I have left for my magazine. I used a low angle shot because it creates a sense of space. The line...

Plan and develop pre-production materials (U3, P3, M2)

Image
Learning Outcome 2: Be able to plan and develop pre-production materials for an original media product to a client brief Gantt chart: I have produced a gantt chat which helps me to visually see the activities that will need to take place week by week in order to produce the final product. Mood board: The idea behind the mood board is for the audience to get a visual ideas of what to expect in the magazine. The mood board contains pictures of open mic nights as that is the focus of my magazine as well as lights to recreate an event of an artist performing in north London. I have used a range of colours to show that everyone is different and especially artists who may perform the same song in different ways. The range of lively, vibrant colours set the scene of what it's like to be at a North London concert. By not having one specific colour theme I am showing that everyone is different and nothing is set in stone. Fonts: I have chosen 3 fonts that I will ...
