Notes from pitch-
1. What do I mean by 'Open Mic Nights'?
The client wanted me to be specific in the pitch about the magazines focus on open mic nights, as he did not feel this was initially clear.
2. Am I overselling with my mood board?
The client felt that the mood board might have misled potential audiences, as it featured larger venues, her felt smaller more intimate will create a better picture and this will be more appropriate.
3. In the future research USP
The client suggested that in the future I should research my idea of my USP to make sure that no other magazine has used it or a version of it.
4. Why did I choose these fonts?
The client asked me to go into more detail to why I chose these fonts as he wasn't to sure how they would all link together and if they would look to messy on the same page. He also asked me to explain why I had chosen these fonts.
5. Does the lemon/milk font come in different sizes?
The client asked me to look into if Lemon/milk font comes in different sizes as I may be able to use an abbreviation version of that font, this will mean the fonts will link together nicely and compliment each other.
6. Why did I choose university students?
I chose university students because they are at the stage where going out of an evening and are looking for a cheap fun night. As I based this on open mic nights because they are a cheap and fun night out, therefore in order to meet the clients requirements I will be explain that in more detail.
7. Could I target other individuals who don't go to University?
The client suggested I might broaden my target demographic by reaching out beyond university students specifically. He felt that the Target audience of 18-22 was too narrow and I would be losing potential readership by limiting it to this age range.
8. In the future design a mock up or a physical copy
The client suggested that in order to 'wow' the client I should consider creating a mock up the front page and double page spread. This is so the Client can get a good picture of how I plan to create the magazine.
